Privacy Policy
Aqualytics (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a swimming performance application for coaches, parents, and swimmers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who this applies to
This policy covers the Aqualytics mobile apps (iOS and Android), our related backend services, and this website. If you use the app as a guest without signing in, only limited device-local features apply until you create an account.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you register, we collect credentials and profile details needed to create and secure your account (for example email address and authentication identifiers). Sign-in is provided via Amazon Cognito. If you choose Google or Apple sign-in, those providers share limited identity information with us according to your settings with them.
Swim and performance data
To deliver the product, we store information you enter or capture in the app, such as:
- Swimmer profiles (name, age group / birth year, club, preferences)
- Timed results, splits, stroke, distance, course, and session type
- Personal bests, goals, training plans, and related notes
- Meet schedule events and calling-room reminder settings
Device and notifications
We may store device tokens to send push notifications you enable (for example meet reminders or analysis-ready alerts). Local notifications can also fire on-device without a network connection.
Biometrics
Optional biometric unlock (Face ID, Touch ID, or device biometrics) runs on your device. Biometric templates never leave your device or reach our servers. We only store a secure refresh token in the platform keystore/keychain after you opt in.
Subscriptions and purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive entitlement and subscription status (including via RevenueCat) so we can unlock Aqualytics Pro features. We do not receive your full payment card number.
Technical logs
Our servers may process standard technical data (such as IP address, timestamps, and error logs) to operate, secure, and improve the service.
3. How we use information
- Provide capture, sync, reminders, insights, and account features
- Authenticate you and protect accounts
- Deliver AI coaching tips based on your captured performance data
- Manage Free vs Pro entitlements and trials
- Respond to support and refund requests you send us
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations
4. AI analysis
When you use AI coaching features, relevant performance data (such as splits, personal bests, and trends) may be processed by Amazon Bedrock to generate evidence-based tips. We use this processing to provide the feature you requested, not to sell personal profiles to advertisers.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed with service providers who help us run Aqualytics (for example cloud hosting, authentication, push notifications, subscription entitlement, and AI inference), under contractual and security obligations appropriate to the service.
If you invite another user (for example a co-parent or coach) to a swimmer, they can access the shared swimmer data according to the role you grant.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users and the service.
6. International processing
Aqualytics is built on Amazon Web Services and related providers. Your data may be processed in regions where those services operate. We take steps designed to protect information in transit and at rest consistent with our architecture.
7. Retention
We retain account and performance data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You may delete your account from the app (Account → Delete account), which removes associated owned app data from our systems as described in-product. Some backups or legal records may persist for a limited period where required.
8. Your choices and rights
- Access and update profile and swimmer information in the app
- Export or request a copy of your data where the product supports it
- Delete your account and associated owned data from Account settings
- Control notification preferences and biometric unlock on device
- Manage subscriptions in App Store or Google Play subscription settings
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. Contact us to exercise those rights.
9. Children
Aqualytics is used by coaches and parents who may record performance data about young athletes. Accounts should be created by adults. Swimmer profiles may include limited information about minors solely for coaching and progress tracking. Do not submit children’s data beyond what is needed for those purposes.
10. Security
We use industry-standard practices appropriate to our stack (including encrypted transport and secured authentication tokens). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep your device updated.
11. This website
This marketing site is a static page. It does not require an account. If you email us (for example for a refund request), we will use the information you provide to respond to your request.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Aqualytics after an update means you accept the revised policy.
